IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
2021 Michigan Residential Code Adopted
The 2021 Michigan Residential Code was adopted on May 1st, 2025. It will become effective in 120 days. This will mean that there will only be one electrical code for the State of Michigan - the 2023 Michigan Electrical Code. The 2023 Michigan Electrical Code is based on the 2023 National Electric Code with amendments. This will be the only electrical code in use in the State of Michigan.
The Administrative Rules were filed with the Great Seal for the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs - Bureau of Construction Codes.

DTE Has Suspended Enrollment in Their
Separately Metered Electric Vehicle Rate (D1.9)
DTE has now closed enrollment in their D1.9 Electric Vehicle Rate.
While they will still allow an additional EV meter, it will be billed at regular rates.
